The mouse detective Tweedy and his assistant, Rollo, are on the track of rich Mrs. Twombly's grandson, Freddy, who has disappeared. Tweedy begins his round of questioning and tracking, eventually putting his clues together to arrive at the landing place of Freddy's homemade hot-air balloon.
