Of all the contenders for the title of The Great American Novel, none has a better claim than The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. More than a century after its publication it remains a major work that can be enjoyed at many levels: as an incomparable adventure story and as a classic of American humor. Norman Rockwell was commissed by Heritage Reprints to illustrate the whole book. The original paintings are at the Mark Twain Museum in Hannibal, Missouri. Rockwell visited Hannibal to prepare his preliminary sketches and returned to New York to paint the illustrations. This special edition was published by the Heritage Reprints. It is extremely RARE.
