This first story of Little Grey Rabbit and her friends tells of the weasel who moves into Owl's Wood, and Grey Rabbit's brave, clever way of getting rid of him. She does a deal with Owl and loses her tail, but Hare and Squirrel are rude and unfriendly to her. It is only when she rescues them that they learn to be sorry and promise they will never be horrid to her again.
