Horatio (the Rabbit) has learned a new trick. By saying the magic word "hoopla!" and diving into his sock, he can make himself disappear. Humphrey Thud, the elephant, would like to do the trick too. But there is an awful lot of Humphrey to disappear - too much for a sock, as James, the Bear, points out. He does have an idea though and, as ever, it involves the contents of his precious Useful Box. The illustrations make it full of the warmth and playfulness of the nursery.
