Doodlebug is a heart warming story for young readers about a young girl who dreams of buying her own wonderful black stallion but takes pity on a neglected small black pony at a stock-sale. There are wonderful pictures of "before and after" of the neglected pony named "Doodlebug". Irene Brady is a very talented artist. Her pictures are a delight.
