One morning Mr. Rabbit found an egg outside his rabbit hole. When he examined it closely, he decided the egg was about to hatch so he ran off to find Mrs. Hen to see if it belonged to her. But when they arrived, the egg had already hatched and the new baby was the strangest animal she had ever seen. It looked like a beaver and swam in the river. All the animals came to see it to find out what it was. The funny little animal ran away to hide and everyone tried to find it.
