George W Carver was an inspiration to many people, deeply religious, and a wonderful example of selflessness. He continues to be an inspiration through the retelling of his life story. He suffered a great deal of discrimination because of his skin color but refused to let it detract him from his mission - to help his people in the aftermath of the Civil War. He was an extremely intelligent man, full of faith in God, and open to the Lord's leading as he experimented with several products in his laboratory.
