Silver Chief is a beautiful silver part dog and part wolf. A Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman named Sarg. Thornton heads north to track a murderer. While waiting to track down the murderer, Thornton captures and tames Silver Chief, training him into a loving companion and loyal friend. When the murderer wounds Thornton in the leg, it is up to Silver Chief to see that they arrive safely back to civilization.
