"Doctrines of the Restoration" is an edited compilation of various talks by Bruce R. McConkie. His son provides commentary between sections and helpful footnotes and scripture references. This book is a repository of many of his "between books" discourses.

Some of the diamonds in the book are"The Purifying Power of Gethsemane," his last discourse and "Lord God of Joseph Smith," a 30 minut primer on the Gospel. Other gems are "An open letter to Honest Truth Seekers," and his commentariesw on Revelation and Isaiah.
