A headstrong (and Scottish) girl, a straightforward, falls-in-love-at-first-sight man, lots of quirky locals, and the wild Scottish Highlands. The local people of Glenshael live in uneasy fear of the ghost of Aillie Rannoch, a young girl who disappeared years ago and for whom the people feel a partial responsibility. But Aillie isn't dead, she in fact grew up to be a glamourous movie star, and now in disguise she's back to her hometown and the castle that is rightfully hers. But someone else has moved in; a tall, handsome stranger. And he has plans of his own.
