A young reader's story of the Texas Rangers. The Rangers today are certainly different from the Rangers of earlier years, as different as our present is from Texas revolutionary times, or from the days of the great cattle drives. The Rangers are no longer so independent. They work according to established rules as do other law enforcement bodies. But they still bear proudly and well the name of Texas Rangers.
