When the Queen hears that the monster threatens to march against her fairy fort, she beguiles Brogeen the leprechaun into going in search of the dread creature. In his travels warm-hearted Brogeen befriends two lonely children: young Brid, who wears a strange bracelet on her arm, and her brother Garry. With Madame Rose, a fortuneteller, and her husband, Professor Cornelius Mulrooney, they join Boss Leo's circus and are quickly embroiled in a series of strange and wonderful adventures, culminating in Brogeen's bringing the monster to visit the Queen.
