Plump Edward and his thin brother Terry climbed down a secret staircase to find themselves in two underground countries. Edward went with the Fattypuffs, while Terry had to go with the Thinifers in this imaginative tale of fat versus thin. Originally published in France in 1930, it's the story of two brothers who fall into a secret underground world, which consists of two countries--the land of Fattypuffs and the land of Thinifers.
Fattypuffs are fat, their cars and boats are round, they are very jolly. Thinifers are thin, live in tall, thin buildings, and are workaholics. For the two brothers who discover this place, they learn that Fattypuffs and Thinifers hate each other, so the brothers try to help them become friends.
