Thirteen stories for the thirteen days between the birth of Christ and the Epiphany. The stories are not all religious in context but come from many traditions: a Spanish-shepherd story recounting the battle between Lucifer and Michael; a story from New York, one from medieval France, the Isle of Man, the Tyrol, the Dolomites, Finnish gypsies as well as a Gaelic fable.
