This is the story of five squashy men: Mush Miller, Mush McCracken, Mello Mush, Mushkeegan and Sush Mush. They come up from the mud exploring their new environment. The black and white drawings inside remind me of the old fairy tales with elves. This, coupled with an ingenious and creative story from the writer, is outstanding.
