The book has 159 songs, some only several words long. It is quite a fascinating document of preschool activities from a late 1930's perspective. Songs are grouped under the following categories:

The book also has an alphabetical listing of the songs (and page #'s) in the back. There are other familiar verses such as Silent Night, This Old Man, Humpty Dumpty Among others. Also of note, There's a song about the Empire State building, which was only 5 or 6 years old when this book was published. There's even a song about a Zeppelin.
