A VERY RARE book published for an American audience by Beatrix Potter. A Fairy Caravan offshoot, this is Potter's version of the tale of Bluebeard. It was withdrawn from The Fairy Caravan due to its length, and Potter now offered it to McKay as a story on its own. Due to her age and poor eyesight, Potter was unwilling to undertake the illustrating of Sister Anne, but was very pleased by the pen-and-ink artwork prepared by Katharine Sturges, commenting "Do thank Katharine from me for interpreting just what I meant!" It was never formally published in the UK, though some unbound sheets were submitted for copyright purposes. It was the last of Potter's books to be published in her lifetime.

From a gift card from Bryce, Christmas 2016. I didn't think I would ever in my life be able to have this book.
