Moccasin Paths is a true story of many Indian people. The authors, Saulk and Fox Indians, have written the book to fulfill a promise made to an old, wise Indian teacher as he lay on his bed counting his last sunsets. This is a story that takes the reader back in time to the ways of the American Indian. It tells the truth about how the Indians lived, what they believed in, their feelings toward life and their teachings and laws.

Much of it is set in story form, but the reader will find on almost every page a truth or teaching. This book is based on personal knowledge, and is not fiction or fairytale. The people are real and they want it to be known that for a long, long time the Indian has known God, has known the power of prayer and the good feelings of life.
Notes
This book is very familiar. I believe we had this book in Kimberly.
