The authors, Saulk and Fox Indians, have written the book to fulfill a promise made to an old, wise Indian teacher as he lay on his bed counting his last sunsets. This is a story that takes the reader back in time to the ways of the American Indian. It tells the truth about how the Indians lived, what they believed in, their feelings toward life and their teachings and laws.
