"The Princess and Curdie" is the second part of MacDonald's story about the Princess Irene and Curdie, the miner's son. Curdie hears that Irene is in danger and he sets out to rescue the princess and the King, her father, from the wicked courtiers. The "Princess and Curdie" was first published in 1882.
