This is a simple and plainly illustrated child's dictionary meant for use by both the youngest children in the kindergarten who can point at a picture and say its name, as well as for the beginning readers in the primary grades who can start to read the descriptive sentences.
The authors follow their guiding principle of "every-word-a-picture" and feature over 600 pictures of every day common objects accompanied by the 600 words naming those objects pictured. As such, parts of speech like verbs verbs are not pictured, though they are used in the descriptive sentences that declaim the item in question.
