Brogeen and the Stepping Stones is the first book in the series of Brogeen books and tells the story of Brogeen the leprechaun’s adventures, which begin when he makes a pair of magic shoes. While making these special shoes, he talks to them, infusing them with the magic and adventure of storytelling. As a result of the stories instilled within them, the shoes run off, and Brogeen, who has always wanted to travel, is later convinced to follow them. This sets in motion a series of fantastical adventures, featuring a shape-shifting beggar man, an Onion woman, and numerous child friends.
