ZZ Cinnamon Swirl French Toast

1 loaf Cinnamon Swirl bread
8 eggs
3 cups milk
1 Tbsp brown sugar
3/4 tsp salt
1 Tbsp vanilla
2 Tbsp butter
Caramel Syrup
1 1/2 stick butter
3 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
3 Tbsp light corn syrup
3 tsp baking soda
3 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350. Butter a 9x13 baking dish. Place the bread in the baking dish. Mix all remaining ingredients, reserving the butter. Dip the bread thoroughly in the egg mixture, then place in the baking dish. Cut butter into pieces and dot over the top. Refrigerate over night or at least one hour. Bake 45-50 minutes.

May also cut bread into sticks and brown with butter in skillet. Serve with Caramel Syrup: To prepare, mix butter, sugar, buttermilk and corn syrup in a large pan and bring to a boil. Boil 1-2 minutes, then remove from heat. Add baking soda and vanilla and stir well.
