Maple Glazed Pumpkin Cookies

2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp ea baking powder, soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ea nutmeg, cloves, salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup canned pumpkin puree
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
Glaze
2 cups powdered sugar
3 Tbsp milk
1 Tbsp butter, melted
1/2 tsp maple flavoring
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt. Set aside. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar together with a mixer. Add pumpkin puree, egg and 1 tsp vanilla and beat until creamy.

Add dry ingredients and combine just until blended. Drop spoonfuls of dough on a cookie sheet. Bake cookies 15-20 minutes until set. Do not overcook. Allow cookies to cool completely then glaze.

Glaze  Combine glaze ingredients until well blended. Place glaze in a quart freezer bag and seal closed. Cut a corner on freezer bag and pipe glaze over cookies.
