Recipe Added:  3/19/2012
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1⅓ cups sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
4 ripe bananas, mashed
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup buttermilk
Cream Cheese Frosting
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 8-oz pkg cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 tsp salt

Nutella Frosting
5 Tbsp butter, softened
1/2 cup Nutella
3 cups powdered sugar
2-4 Tbsp milk

Preheat oven to 375F. Lightly grease a 9x13 baking pan; set aside. Whisk flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. Using a mixer, beat sugar and oil on medium speed until combined. Add both eggs and beat to combine, then add bananas and vanilla and beat until combined. Reduce speed to low and add the flour mixture in three additions, alternating with the buttermilk, mixing until combined. Pour into the prepared pan. Bake 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Set on a wire rack to cool completely.

Cream Cheese Frosting With an electric mixer, cream cream cheese, butter and salt on medium speed. Reduce speed to medium-low and gradually add powdered sugar until combined. Add vanilla, increase the speed to medium-high and beat until light and fluffy. Spread frosting over cooled cake, cut into squares and serve. Cover leftovers with plastic and keep in refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Notes
May sprinkle coarsely chopped walnuts on top.
