Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. In a small bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, syrup and butter. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in pecans.
Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan before removing to a wire rack. Serve warm with syrup if desired or allow to cool. |
