Wild Rice Chicken Dinner

1 pkg long grain rice
1 can French-style green beans
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can sliced water chestnuts
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 4-oz jar sliced pimientos
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp pepper
3 cups cubed cooked chicken
1/2 cup slivered almonds
Heat rice according to pkg directions. Meanwhile, in a Dutch oven, combine green beans, soup, drained water chestnuts, onion, drained pimientos, mayonnaise, milk and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in chicken and rice; cook 3-4 minutes longer or until chicken is heated through. Transfer mixture to a serving dish; sprinkle with almonds. Serve immediately or cover dish and freeze. 
Advanced Preparation
To use frozen casserole: Thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Cover and bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until heated through.
