Pumpkin Pudding Cake

1 pkg yellow cake mix
1 small pkg vanilla pudding
1 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup water
3 eggs
1 Tbsp pumpkin pie spice
1/2 cup chopped toasted pecans
Cream Cheese Frosting
1 8-oz. pkg cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla
4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
Heat oven to 350°F. Beat first 7 ingredients with mixer until well blended. Pour into 9x13 pan sprayed with cooking spray. Bake 32 to 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely. Spread with Cream Cheese Frosting; sprinkle with nuts. Keep refrigerated.

Cream Cheese Frosting
Beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Add sugar gradually, beating after each addition until well blended.

Notes
Cream Cheese Frosting makes enough to fill and frost 2 (8- or 9-inch) cake layers.
