White Chocolate Cranberry Macadamia Cookies

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup each sugar, brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup white baking chips
1 cup dried cranberries
1 cup chopped pecans or Macadamia nuts
Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.

Stir in chips, cranberries and nuts, if using. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks.
