White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Bread

1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
4 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 ½ cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 cup chopped macadamia nuts
¾ cup white chocolate chips
Glaze
1 cup white chocolate chips
2 Tbsp shortening
Preheat oven at 350 degrees. Grease 2 9x5 loaf pans. Using an electric mixer on low stir together shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla until blended. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add in flour mixture to shortening mixture alternating with milk until all combined and blended. Stir in macadamia nuts and white chocolate chips. Pour equal amounts into each loaf pan.

Bake 55-60 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Run butter knife around sides of loaf pan and turn loaf upside down to remove. Place white chocolate chips and shortening in microwave safe bowl. On cook power 50%, heat on for 1 minute. Remove and stir, and continue to heat until melted. Drizzle on top of loaves and let chocolate harden before serving.
