Chocolate Turtle Cookies

2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup cocoa
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup each sugar, brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup chopped caramels
caramel sauce, for drizzling
Preheat oven to 350F. Line baking sheet with paper or baking mat. Set aside. Whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa. Set aside. With a mixer, cream butter and sugars together until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla and mix until combined. Gradually add flour mixture and beat until combined.

Stir in chocolate chips, pecans, and caramels. Scoop dough into rounded Tbsp and place on baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes, until set, but still soft in center. Remove from oven and rest on baking sheet 3 minutes. Move to a cooling rack and cool completely. Drizzle cookies with caramel sauce and serve.
