Preheat oven to 350 F. Make sure biscuit cans are very cold. Open cans and cut biscuits into quarters. Fill a large Ziplock bag with sugar, orange zest, and salt. Seal bag and shake until zest and sugar are combined. Add biscuit pieces to bag, seal and shake until all biscuit pieces are coated in orange sugar. Pour pieces into a Bundt or tube pan and set aside.
In a medium pan over medium heat, melt butter then stir in brown sugar and vanilla until just barely combined. Pour mixture all over biscuit pieces, scraping pan. Let it settle, then place pan in oven. Bake 25 minutes, or until top of biscuits are golden brown. Remove from oven and set on rack about 10 minutes until the sugar/caramel cools slightly, then turn biscuits out of pan onto a plate to serve. |
