Cranberry Nut Bread {Book Recipe}

2 cups sifted flour
1 cup white sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 egg, beaten
1 Tbsp orange zest
3/4 cup orange juice
1 cup golden raisins
1 cup chopped cranberries
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray or grease a loaf pan. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Warm orange juice in microwave, add raisins and cranberries. Let sit 3 minutes to soften. Add egg, orange peel, and orange juice mixture; stir to mix and fold in. Pour into loaf pan and bake 70 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Remove from pan; cool on wire rack.
Notes
May also make into muffins. Variations of raisins, cranberries, pecans.
