ZZ Spicy Beef Queso Dip

1 lb ground beef
1 yellow onion, finely diced
1 4-oz can diced green chilies
⅔ cup water
2 Tbsp taco seasoning mix
32 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
2 10-oz cans diced tomatoes
In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onion over medium heat. Drain. Add green chilies, water, and taco seasoning; increase heat to medium-high and cook, stirring frequently, until liquid has evaporated. Remove from heat.

In a 4 -6-quart slow cooker, add beef mixture, Velveeta cheese, and drained diced tomatoes. Stir well and cook on low until cheese is completely melted, 1 to 2 hours. Keep slow cooker set on warm to serve during a party, stirring mixture occasionally before serving.
