Cream Cheese Crescent Danish

1 tube crescent roll dough
1 8-oz. pkg cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp cup sugar, divided
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup butter, melted
berry jam of choice
Preheat the oven to 350° F. Open can of crescent rolls and remove 1 section and lay it on the bottom of a 9" x 9" pan. Mix the cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, and vanilla. Spread mixture over the rolls. Drop the jam by spoonfuls on top of the cream cheese. Lay the other section of crescent rolls over the top of the mixture. Pour the butter, melted on top. Mix the remaining 2 Tbsp sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon and sprinkle on top. Bake for 30 minutes.
