Taco Seasoning Mix

1 Tbsp chili powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp cayenne or red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp paprika
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
OBB Version
3/4 cup chili powder
2 Tbsp cumin
2 Tbsp coriander
1/4 cup salt
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp onion powder
2 Tbsp paprika
1 1/2 tsp black pepper
1 Tbsp oregano
1/4 cup cornstarch
Mix spices together until well combined. Use immediately or store in an airtight container and use as needed.
To Use: add 1-2 Tbsp and 1/4-1/2 cup water to one lb ground beef. Stir and simmer until liquid is absorbed.

OBB Version
Whisk ingredients together in a large bowl or place in a jar with a lid and shake vigorously until combined.
To Use: heat 1-2 tsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. When hot, add 1 lb ground beef, 1 chopped onion, and 2 cloves minced garlic. Cook, stirring frequently, until the meat is browned. Add 1/4 cup taco seasoning and 2/3 cup beef broth (or 2 cup water + 1/2 heaping tsp of beef base like Better than Bouillon) and simmer on low for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Spice mix can be stored in an airtight container for about 1 year in a cupboard or indefinitely in the freezer .
