Pecan Pie

1 unbaked pie crust in pan
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup dark corn syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 Tbsp butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 cups pecan halves
Preheat oven to 425º. Mix beaten eggs with corn syrup, brown sugar, butter, salt, and vanilla until blended. Do not over mix. Stir in pecans then pour into pie shell. Bake 15 minutes then reduce oven temperature to 350º and bake an additional 15-20 minutes. Do not over bake. Filling will be cooked but still jittery when done. Cool completely several hours or overnight. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
